This weekend, our partners in the BARBARA project at CELABOR visited the agricultural fair in Battice, Belgium, in order to give visibility to the project and their various activities at the company. The event was mainly meant as a divulgative action, joining farmers and consumers in order to bring the farm life and their activities to families, fostering the contact between animals, natural crops and children, but also gathering farmers to face the new challenges, technologies and trends in the sector .
Apart from the first official video of the project, already visible in the website and all social media, two new videos have been added to the Barbara Project Youtube channel. The first video shows coordinator Dr. Berta Gonzalvo, coordinator of the project, and Dr. Lidia García (Tecnopackaging) explaining the rationale and overall concept of the project. The interviews were shot during the M6 meeting of the project at the University of Alicante.
This June 3-6th, the 6th International Congress on Green Process Engineering was held in Toulouse, France (website here). The Conference covered a vast variety of advanced topics such as activation methods, green solvents, biocatalytic processes, biomass valorisation, biorefineries, energy supply, risk management or education on green process engineering.
Compotec is an international Exhbition of composite materials and related technology, the only professional event in Italy in composite sector. The event hosted 106 brands exhibitors and 2469 b2b meetings during these intense three days. Our partners in project BARBARA, UNIPG, had a stand on the exhibition, through which to contact companies and other potential stakeholders in the framework of the BARBARA or other projects.
This May 23-24th, GreenWin hosted the 4th Edition of International Conference Green chemistry and White biotechnology: from research to business. On this edition, CELABOR, valuable company within the consortium, was not only a participant (poster), but also a sponsor of the event, having a whole exhibitor stand, where the BARBARA project was presented, along with the many other activities of the company.
Last week, the 2nd meeting of the Barbara consortium took place in Stockholm, Sweden, at the premises of the Royal Institute of Technology (KungligaTekniskaHögskolan, KTH). The meeting gathered all partners in the project, to update each other on the progress of all work packages and the results as for the 12 month of the project, as well as to discuss and plan for the following months of work.
The European Factories of the Future Research Association (EFFRA), the European Road Transport Research Advisory Council (ERTRAC) and the European Green Vehicles Initiative Association (EGVIA) co-hosted in Brussels, Belgium the workshop "Factories of the Future for the Automotive Sector", this February 28th.
The French Bioeconomy Cluster is this year in charge of organizing the global Conference dedicated to Processes and Technologies Applied to Biomass, which will be held in Strasbourg, France in March 3th-6th.
This Wednesday and Thursday, Dr. Lidia García presented project BARBARA at the 5th Edition of ACI’s European Biopolymer Summit in Dusseldorf, Germany. The two day event was specially designed to bring together senior executives, key industry experts, researchers and bioplastic manufacturers, to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of bio-environmental polymer engineering, most recent innovations, trends and concern as well as solutions adopted in the sector.
